An expired Gravity Forms Save and Continue link is not usually fixed by resending the same email. First determine whether the saved draft still exists and whether the full resume URL reaches the original form. Never ask a visitor to paste a private resume link into a public support thread.
Separate expiration from a damaged link
Gravity Forms documents a default 30-day lifetime for saved drafts in its Save and Continue guide. Custom expiration settings can change that lifetime. A person holding the link can access the saved form, so treat its token as a secret rather than a harmless campaign parameter.
Ask for the approximate save date, form name and error wording. Compare that date with the site's actual retention configuration. Extending retention now does not recreate a draft already deleted by cleanup. Do not promise recovery unless a retained, authorized copy exists and the owner approves how it will be used.
Follow a new synthetic draft through the same path
Create a test draft containing fictional information on the affected form. Save its full link privately. Open it directly in a fresh browser session, then test the emailed version through the same mail client the visitor used.

Watch for a redirect that discards the query string. Preserve the required resume parameter through the legitimate route, but do not place it into analytics events, screenshots or a shared tracking spreadsheet. Exclude sensitive parameters from measurement where appropriate.
Fresh direct link: Opens the synthetic draft. Emailed link: Reaches the same form. Expired draft: Clear restart instructions. Submission: Expected files and one entry. Explanatory checklist, not a customer test result.
Understand what a resumed draft can contain
Do not use a successful resume as proof that every field persisted. Gravity Forms notes limitations for single-file uploads in this workflow. Make the form's instructions clear when a visitor must attach a file again, and test the actual upload field type you use.
The Partial Entries configuration guide explains that partial entries and Save and Continue drafts are not synchronized. Editing a partial entry is therefore not a reliable way to repair the resumable draft. If the problem instead concerns whether partial capture is enabled, use the Partial Entries setting check.
Give the visitor a clear recovery path
If the draft has expired, offer a new form and explain what must be entered again. Avoid silently reconstructing sensitive answers from logs or emails. If a fresh draft fails, retain a redacted reproduction showing the redirect path, form ID and response error, not the token or submitted answers.
A targeted form repair should end with a new draft that resumes, submits once and reaches the correct notification destination, plus an expired-link message that tells visitors what to do next.
