Page speed (A-psi-desk)

PageSpeed performance (desktop)

What this check means

This guide helps you act on one scan finding. It is not legal advice or a compliance verdict.

What to fix

Improve the desktop PageSpeed lab score by trimming plugin JS/CSS and heavy media that still load on desktop templates.

Step-by-step fix

  1. Open the desktop layout for the scanned URL and list scripts that load in wp_head / wp_footer from plugins you do not need on this page.
  2. Disable those plugins on this URL (asset-cleanup, Perfmatters, or the plugin’s own “disable on pages” setting) or remove dead widgets.
  3. Optimize large desktop hero media and avoid loading mobile-only builders twice.
  4. Clear caches and re-publish so the CDN serves the new HTML.

Choose the path for your setup

  • Host panel cache

Purge the host or Cloudflare cache for the exact URL after the publish.

Confirm it is fixed

Re-scan the same URL and compare the desktop PageSpeed check (A-psi-desk) before/after.

Rescan this check on your site
