Lead forms (B12)
Hidden attribution fields at submit time
This guide helps you act on one scan finding. It is not legal advice or a compliance verdict.
What to fix
Populate hidden UTM / click-ID fields before submit using HandL UTM Grabber or equivalent first-party capture.
Step-by-step fix
- Install and activate HandL UTM Grabber (or your chosen attribution plugin) and confirm it is not disabled for the form page.
- In the form plugin, add hidden fields whose names match the Grabber field list (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, gclid, fbclid, etc.).
- Map each hidden field to the Grabber shortcode or autofill source documented for that plugin.
- Submit a test lead with ?utm_source=test in the URL and inspect the entry — hidden fields must be non-empty.
