What this check is

This check records the HTTP status code returned for the scanned URL.

WordPress maintenance modes, security plugins, and bad redirects often produce unexpected statuses.

Non-200 statuses mean the bot did not get a normal page body. Fix availability before treating other checks as conclusive.
